WHO WE ARE:
KIM M. ROBINSON, ESQ., PRESIDENT, LEAD ATTORNEY
Kim has been an attorney since 1988 and has practiced almost exclusively family law since 1994. She was the trial attorney and appellate counsel for the mother in Marriage of LaMusga (2004) 32 Cal.4th 1072, a move-away case that went to the California Supreme Court. The mother in LaMusga was allowed to move with her children to Arizona, where they have remained since 2003. Kim is dedicated to ensuring that litigants and children in the family courts receive fair and just treatment under the law.
MEERA FOX, ESQ., ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY
Meera has been practicing law since 1995, assisting sexually abused children and their Protective Parents in both family and juvenile courts. An expert in family court evaluations practice, Meera spent twelve years teaching family court evaluators, social workers, attorneys and judges how to recognize and validate child abuse, how to perform family court custody investigations consistent with the laws, rules of court and best practice guidelines, and how to differentiate true and false allegations of child abuse arising in family court conflicts. Chagrined with the lack of access that family law litigants typically have to the child protective service resources and to the State run forensic interviewing centers, Meera went through the forensic interviewer training herself in order to be able to make forensic interviewing services more available to family law litigants.
STEPHANIE ANNE JOHNSON, PH.D., VICE PRESIDENT
Stephanie holds a doctorate in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in public policy. Dr. Johnson is a tenured professor in the art department at California State University, Monterey Bay, and is an advocate for systemic inclusion, transformative leadership, and equitable resource distribution for people of color. Dr. Johnson has a long standing interest in promoting and ensuring fair treatment and justice for children in the court system.
VIVIENNE NISHIMURA, SECRETARY AND TREASURER
Vivienne brings a strong background in nonprofit management to the board of Joan of Arc Lawyers Foundation. She is the former Manager of Government Relations for Family Winemakers of California, and Executive Director for the Coalition for Free Trade, a legal foundation which filed test suits throughout the U.S. challenging discriminatory state laws prohibiting interstate commerce of wine. Vivienne has served on numerous boards and is the Secretary and Treasurer for Joan of Arc Lawyers. Her goal is to help the Foundation build a strong financial base, so that our legal team can fulfill our nonprofit's mission, to provide legal representation to Protective Parents of victims of abuse in family court.
